The Inner Wheel Club of Tenby celebrated their 80th Anniversary with a lunch at the Giltar Hotel in Tenby on a glorious Sunday in October.

The Club was set up in 1946 by a group of Rotary wives, the founder President was Mrs M M Howells, known locally as Mrs Pinnie Howells, a formidable lady who went on to be District Chairman of District 15, 1953 – 1954. The members have supported local and overseas causes and lifelong friendships have been formed.

District Chairman Wendy cut the celebratory cake, a certificate was given to Tenby President of the month Maggie, and also inducted new member Jayne presenting her with her brooch.

Congratulations were given by Member of Council Pauline Minshull on behalf of Association and by Tom Cullen, President of the Rotary Club of Tenby. Ray Wise, President of the Rotary Club of Saundersfoot congratulated the Inner Wheel members on the tremendous achievement of reaching 80 years of fundraising, fellowship and fun!
