About District 14
District14 is a small District encompassing parts of Hampshire, Surrey and Middlesex.
We have links with the military with the home of the British Army at Aldershot, the home of flying in the UK at Farnborough, where a prestigious airshow is held every two years, and the Sandhurst Military Academy in Camberley.
Also in Farnborough is the day school for girls, Farnborough Hill, once the home of the exiled Empress Eugenie, wife of Napolean II.
The Thames flows through much of our District and boating on the river is very popular, as is a trip to Kew Gardens. For those with more energy, Wimbledon offers lawn tennis and Thorpe Park has roller coasters and rides. Hampton Court Palace, of Henry VIII fame, is very interesting to visit, especially when the Flower Show is on.
There is always something to see or do in District14 and you will have a warm welcome from any of the Inner Wheel clubs in the area as they work to help and support their communities.
District Chairman

District Chairman Amanda Morgan
Welcome
Welcome to the District 14 website. I would like to introduce myself as District 14 Chairman for the year 2025/26. I am extremely proud to be taking on the role in an organisation that means a lot to me personally and that does so much good for so many people while providing friendship and support to its members.
I first joined the Farnborough club in 2007 when my mum was at the end of her year as club president and have, over the years, been club treasurer, president and during the covid pandemic became a welfare ambassador taking on the task of providing a newsletter to my club to keep everyone up to date with news and support while we socially distanced.
I have recently retired after 30 years working in the NHS and felt that this was the perfect time to give more back to my District than I have been able to in the past, and I look forward to visiting all the clubs and meeting everyone as I go around the district.
Outside of Inner Wheel, I am a member of Surrey County Cricket Club and attend as many matches as I can, along with my husband. I enjoy reading, especially murder mysteries and my favourite author is Agatha Christie. I am a very amateur gardener but enjoy watching the bees and butterflies that frequent my garden during the year.
I hope we can have a year of fun and friendship while strengthening our district to move forward to showcase who we are and the work we do within all our communities.
My slogan for the year is “small steps supporting positive change” and this, I hope, links in with my chosen charity for the year, Sasha’s Place.
