About District 14
District14 is a small District encompassing parts of Hampshire, Surrey and Middlesex.
We have links with the military with the home of the British Army at Aldershot, the home of flying in the UK at Farnborough, where a prestigious airshow is held every two years, and the Sandhurst Military Academy in Camberley.
Also in Farnborough is the day school for girls, Farnborough Hill, once the home of the exiled Empress Eugenie, wife of Napolean II.
The Thames flows through much of our District and boating on the river is very popular, as is a trip to Kew Gardens. For those with more energy, Wimbledon offers lawn tennis and Thorpe Park has roller coasters and rides. Hampton Court Palace, of Henry VIII fame, is very interesting to visit, especially when the Flower Show is on.
There is always something to see or do in District14 and you will have a warm welcome from any of the Inner Wheel clubs in the area as they work to help and support their communities.
District Chairman
District Chairman Pauline Fletcher
Welcome
Welcome to the District 14 Website. I would like to introduce myself as District 14 Chairman for the year 2024/25. I am extremely pleased to take on this role at such an exciting time for our wonderful organization and particularly in our Centenary Year.
I first joined Purley Club in 2010 and quickly became involved, taking on many roles over the years including two years as President. The District Chairman’s role will give me the opportunity to give back to Inner Wheel for all the friendship, service and fun I have had over the past fourteen years. I am really looking forward to visiting clubs, attending Rallies and meeting as many Inner Wheel Members as possible.
Apart from Inner Wheel, I also enjoy Crafting and attend a weekly craft club. I enjoy playing Bridge weekly, albeit at a social level.
What do I want to achieve during my year in Office? I hope we begin to see results from the brilliant new recruitment campaign, what an exciting time for Inner Wheel. We must put our plans in place for the continuation of our unique organization into the next centenary, make our organization more visible, promote what is unique, the good that we do and the friendship we offer. I hope District 14 will take advantage of all the help offered so we can increase our membership with enthusiasm and positivity.
My slogan for the year is “Opportunities do not just happen, you create them”. I hope we will, I look forward to my year in office as District 14 Chairman

Who we support
My charity for the year is The ADHD Foundation. This charity also covers other neuro diverse conditions such as Autism, Tourettes, Dyslexia and dyspraxia.
It is with my Grandchildren and Great Grandchild in mind that I chose this charity. I have seen the added pressure their conditions place on their families but they are fortunate to have brilliant, loving and understanding parents who help them to navigate their lives which is so different to how we see life. Unfortunately, not all children and adults are so lucky, this foundation aims to raise awareness in schools, workplaces and organizations and promote the many advantages of being neuro diverse.
“The ADHD Foundation Neurodiversity Charity supports parents and carers so they can understand and meet the needs of their child. With a range of webinars, courses, resources, and our screening service, we help families to know which interventions and adaptations are right for them.”
International Charity
SEOLCEG
Supporting End of Life Care/Education Guyana (SEOLCEG) was launched in 2019 at St Christopher’s Hospice after, International Service Chairman, Lilette visited Guyana to facilitate Palliative/End of Life Care training and identified during her stay the lack of support for cancer patients, and their families.
