D1 Rally Forfar 30 May 2025

On 30th May 2025 District 1 held their 73rd Rally at the Royal Hotel, Forfar. Around 100 members attended. Guest speaker was Julie Ramsay, Association International Service Chairman (D2) who gave Association President Heather Sheerin's address to members. Heather sent her heartfelt apologies at not attending but wished everyone to have a happy day with lots of smiles. You will see Julie, Piper Donna Myles of Forfar Pipe Band, District Chairman Jean Hale and President of Forfar Club Susan Oliphant who is also District Treasurer. The Forfar Club provided much guidance to members attending and a small Rally Committee helped with all the arrangements in the run up to the day. Grateful thanks were given to everyone especially Susan Oliphant and District Secretary Gladys Johnston. The view of the function room was decorated with a tartan theme and a small stage featured a tartan display from local Strathmore Woollen Company which stocks over 400 premium quality authentic tartans in Forfar, Scotland.
