About District 24
Welcome to District 24 – a small active District with 8 clubs. District 24 has celebrated its 50th birthday, we were previously part of District 8 which covered Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and a small part of Cambridgeshire, Essex broke away in 1974 and became District 24. Basildon is the most southerly and Harwich and Dovercourt the most northerly. We stretch almost to the Hertfordshire border in Harlow and to the east Clacton on Sea.
We encourage new members and involve them in the varied Inner Wheel activities we all enjoy.
District Chairman
District Chairman Elizabeth Stedman
Welcome
I am very much looking forward to my second year as District Chairman of D24 and this coming year I wish to concentrate on the “giving service” aspect of Inner Wheel and “Orange the World” Orange the World is a United Nations initiative to eliminate violence against women and girls and the campaign runs from November 25th until December 10th.
I have been a member of the Club of Chelmsford Mildmay Inner Wheel for 15 years.
During that time I have served as Secretary, President and ISO.
Before I retired I was a primary school teacher, at one point working for Association Past President Anthea, who introduced me to Inner Wheel. I have three daughters and three grandchildren, who are very supportive in all my activities.
