Home Hosting

Three members of District 1 have been involved in home hosting recently.  Well done to Trish Douglas ( Montrose),  Heather Sheerin (Inverness) and Marjorie Duncan ( Stirling) for extending the wonderful hand of friendship to our friends from overseas. Before and after the 19th Convention in Manchester members offered accommodation to Inner Wheel ladies from far and wide.

  • Association Vice President, Heather Sheerin home hosted prior to Convention in her home in Inverness and thoroughly enjoyed showing them highland hospitality including a day trip over to Skye. The 2 members were from Jutland in Denmark – Judith Yde Petersen & Lisbeth Johansen.
  • After Convention IIW President, Trish Douglas home hosted 3 ladies from the Philippines at her home in Kinnell, Angus, Scotland. She hosted Immediate Past International President Zenaida Yungco Faron, Vicki Magadia & Donna Jiao.
  • District 1 Past District Chairman Marjorie Duncan attended Convention then hosted a member from Uganda who travelled up to Stirling by train with many of the District 1 delegate
