Ely planting a tree for the Jubilee and the late Queen’s Green Canopy Project.

The tree is a Flowering Cherry (Sunset Boulevard) and it was planted in Ship Lane carpark near the Maltings in Ely.   Chris Cant , Trees Officer for East Cambs District Council coordinated with Ely Inner Wheel for the choice and purchase of this tree. Some members of Ely I.W. Club (see photo) watched the very professional and efficient planting of the tree by the E.C.D.C team. We look forward to seeing it blossom in May!
