Ely Club ‘Goes to a Family Hindu Wedding’

At our October meeting Past District Chairman Linda Fellas from Gt. Yarmouth Club came as our Speaker for the evening. She recounted with the aid of a PowerPoint presentation her attendance at her grandson Tim’s wedding in Texas. The bride was Hindu and Linda told us of the beautiful and elaborate stages of the wedding ceremony which involved the whole family. It began with the arrival of the Groom on a white horse and much dancing and then meeting of the bride in a wonderful golden wedding dress. We were all enthralled.  Linda was wearing the outfit she wore to the wedding (see photo with President Pauline Lancaster presenting a thank you gift of a personalised Gin balloon glass.
