District Chairman’s visit to Berlin for the IW European Rally

International Understanding is one of the Objects of Inner Wheel and this was shown to our District Chairman Hilary on her recent visit to Berlin.  It was while she was at the European Rally that Hilary learned of the death of Queen Elizabeth II.  In fact she was told by a group of Inner Wheel members from Denmark who were most solicitous and empathetic, talking about what Queen Elizabeth meant to them and to their own Queen Margrethe II.

Members of different countries represented at the Rally spoke to Hilary about their regard for Queen Elizabeth II and gave condolences. At the Welcome Dinner a minutes Silence was kept to remember our Queen and the flag flying above the Reichstag Parliament building was at half mast as respect to Queen Elizabeth II.
