The members of Sale Club celebrated our 87th Birthday at our meeting on 22nd February. We each brought items to share for our two-course lunch. We raised a glass of wine to toast our past and current members before we ate a slice of our celebration cake. As you can see on the image above, that is now our club page banner, we displayed some of our memorabilia which 3 of our 4 new members this Inner Wheel year saw for the first time.

Bravura Concert

What a musical feast!  Members of the Sale Club, with President Pam Boyes, organised  a fund-raising Choir concert that took us  “Around the world in 80 minutes” .

The multi-talented music makers of the award-winning Bravura choir, under the direction of Daphne Sumbler, entertained us with a varied programme of beautiful music. There were songs from the Eriskay Love Lilt to Scarborough Fair, with all-time favourites from the top shows.

The advanced Diploma students sang the more classical songs, with a beautiful duet by Zaph and Iryna.

Another highlight of the evening was a performance of Chopin`s Nocturne in E minor by the talented pianist, Jenna.

It was a great celebration of the joys of music.

As if this was not enough pleasure for one evening, we were treated to a tempting array of home-made pates and a variety of regional cheeses – all the work of the talented catering team of the Sale Club.

The concert was held to raise funds for the Book Bus – the charity chosen by Association International  Service Committee Chairman, Pam, and for BEAT the Association President`s chosen charity for 2023/24.

A wonderful evening.
