District 22 Celebrates Inner Wheel Day

10th January 2024 saw 140 plus members meeting together to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Inner Wheel at The Hostess Restaurant. A big thank you to Past District Chairmen, Rachel Cooper, Di Sardesai, and Di Hylton together with Past District Treasurer Judith Rosser for organising everything. Whilst eating a delicious afternoon tea we were entertained by Notty Hornblower and her models showing us the fashions throughout the decades. Notty has a fantastic collection of vintage clothes and told us many stories about how she acquired this collection. If you would like to see more visit Notty’s Hope House Costume Museum. Dunfermline Inner Wheel – District 1 Una Gillies knitted 100 Easter Bunnies for charity. Club members collected 200 Easter Eggs to donate to Women’s Aid Helen Doran delivered 200 books to a local charity “Better World Books”, hopefully we can claim 2 x 100 for 100!...

Church Wilne members gave generously to the Hope Centre Food Bank in Derby as one of their 100 for 100 challenges.  The "100" contains over 100 tins and together with the other items will make a difference for the people of Derby.
