Inner Wheel District 16 connects clubs across Ireland in friendship and service. As part of International Inner Wheel, one of the world’s largest women’s voluntary service organisations, we empower women to lead with purpose and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
District 16 unites clubs in a shared commitment to service, international understanding, and positive action. Together, we are women making a difference locally, nationally, and globally.

Welcome
Welcome to Inner Wheel District 16. Our District unites dedicated women from across Ireland who embody our motto, Women in Action. This reflects our shared commitment to service, connection, and making a positive difference, values that lie at the heart of Inner Wheel.
It is a great honour and privilege to serve as Chair of Inner Wheel Ireland for 2026–27, and I look forward to meeting and working with members throughout the country during the year ahead.
I joined Inner Wheel in Omagh 6 years ago on my phased return from living in the US and have held several committee roles in my home club.
We live in a changing world. The ways in which women live, work, volunteer and connect with one another are evolving, and this presents both challenges and exciting opportunities for Inner Wheel.
During my year, I hope to encourage conversations about how we strengthen our existing clubs, welcome new members, explore opportunities for growth and ensure that Inner Wheel remains vibrant and relevant for future generations.
Above all, I hope this will be a year of friendship, optimism and shared purpose as, together, we look confidently to the future of Inner Wheel in Ireland.

Who we support
Women’s Aid – working to end domestic abuse
Women’s Aid is the lead organisation across the island of Ireland addressing domestic abuse and providing services for women and children. Violence against women and girls is a global crisis affecting 1 in 3 females across the world. I am proud to co-chair Fermanagh & Omagh Women’s Aid, supporting the women and girls affected by domestic abuse across our jurisdiction.
I am particularly keen that we continue to demonstrate the difference Inner Wheel can make in this regard across the world and in our communities. This will be the 3rd year that Inner Wheel has actively supported the UN Women’s Orange the World campaign to eliminate violence against women.
Our continued participation in the global Inner Wheel UNiTE in Action: Her Safety, Our Priority campaign will provide an important opportunity to do just that by raising awareness of the global crisis of violence against women and girls. We will walk, united, on November 25th – International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls. Join with us in your local town.
Support will also be given to President Pat's chosen charity, Papyrus www.papyrus-uk.org
The International charity remains as Mary's Meals
There is gender inequality in education around the world, but by providing daily meals in school, we remove one hugely significant barrier for girls, giving them opportunities that they otherwise may not have.
