District Chairman

District Chairman Evelyn Whitney

Welcome

Dear fellow members, It is an honour and a privilege to take on the role of District 128 Chairman, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve such a dedicated and inspiring group of members.
Inner Wheel has always stood for friendship, service, and international
understanding, and I feel immensely proud to be part of an organisation that continues to make such a positive impact within our communities.
Over the coming months, I am looking forward to meeting as many members as possible, to share in your activities, and to learn more about the wonderful work you are doing. Each club has its own unique character, and I know these visits will be both enjoyable and inspiring.
I am also delighted at the prospect of attending several charter anniversaries throughout the year. These occasions are always special moments to celebrate the history, achievements, and enduring friendships that define Inner Wheel.
They provide a wonderful opportunity to reflect on how far we have come, while also looking ahead to the future with optimism and purpose.
In the Spring of 2027, I am looking forward to attending the Association
Conference in Cheltenham and the International Convention in Manilla. I do hope that some of you will join me as these events are always well organised, with lots of friendship and laughter.
Thank you for taking office in your clubs and to the District executive members who will be working beside me. I very much look forward to the year ahead, to building new friendships, strengthening existing ones, and celebrating all that makes District 128 so special. Thank you for your continued support – I am truly
honoured to represent you.
Your District Chairman
Evelyn

Who we support

If nothing changes, one in two of us will be directly affected by dementia – either by developing the condition ourselves, caring for someone with it, or both.

As the UK’s leading dementia research charity, we’re determined to stop this from becoming a reality.

We’re working to revolutionise the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia. But we will not stop there.

With your support, we will keep going until every person is free from the heartbreak of dementia. We exist for a cure.

Drumbeat UK works with aids orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda. The charity recruits sponsors in the UK who are willing to commit to long tern sponsorship of a child’s education. The charity also supports the child and their families in times of crisis, such as, medical intervention and food shortage. The charity also organises fund raising events to raise extra funds.
