Inner Wheel District 10

About District 10

Welcome to District 10.
We cover the area from Worcester in the north, Clevedon in the south and Swindon North Wilts in the east.
We have 10 clubs within these boundaries.
There is a warm welcome waiting for you if there is a club near you.

We are always looking to recruit new members so if you think you might like to be part of this wonderful International organisation, please email and we will arrange for a club member near you to meet you for a coffee and give you an insight into club membership.  Each club will have different activities - we are essentially a Service organisation but we are always looking for new and innovative ways to raise money to support our local communities.

So come on - what have you got to lose?

District Chairman

District Chairman Phyllis Charter

Welcome

I was born in Somerset on a farm on the Mendip Hills and my parents moved lock stock and barrel – machinery and animals to a farm near Gloucester.

Paul and I farmed in Mid Glamorgan and I first joined Inner Wheel in Bridgend in 1984 and moved back to Gloucestershire in 1990 where I joined Newent & District.

I have been club President many times as well as other positions – on District I have been District Chairman four times, Member of Council, District Secretary and District Treasurer.

I was Association Treasurer from 2008-2010, Association President 2011-2012.

I have served International Inner Wheel as Board Director 2015-2016, Constitution Chairman 2016-2018, and IIW President 2019-2020.

Inner Wheel is the best kept secret and we as members have to change with the changing times.  Our meetings have to be different and cater for all generations and individual members. What suited years ago is not “fashionable” today – let us make the impossible – possible.

I look forward to visiting our clubs and hopefully we can form a new club or even start an E-club. Inner Wheel is needed now more than ever so let us help our communities and put the name Inner Wheel on the streets of our District.

Who we support

My chosen charity for 2026-2027 is MND – Motor Neurone Disease – there is at any one time 60 people of all ages suffering within our region with MND. There is no cure – MND moves fast., it takes away time, it takes away independence.

Support will also be given to President Pat's chosen charity, Papyrus www.papyrus-uk.org

The International charity remains as Mary's Meals

There is gender inequality in education around the world, but by providing daily meals in school, we remove one hugely significant barrier for girls, giving them opportunities that they otherwise may not have.
