Members from across the District got together for a fun ‘School Day’ event to celebrate the start of a new year together. With the District Exec officers taking the role of school staff, members arrived in uniform for the register to be taken. There were more than a few giggles during the music lesson, learning a school song to the tune of ‘My Bonny lies over the Ocean’, then an English story writing session and some art work before a traditional school lunch was served. In the afternoon a PE session involved everyone in some seated exercise, led by a volunteer from Dementia Active, our Chairman’s chosen charity. Funds were raised for the charity from the sale of Harvest goods donated by members and a whole lot of fun and friendship was shared by all!
