D8 Watton News!

In the centre of the photo is our District 8 Chairman Heather Hewson, on the left is District Secretary Deirdre Griffin and on her right is Member of  Council Catherine Forsdike. This was taken at the recent District Meeting and was attended by 65 members from 12 clubs. Also at the this Spring meeting we had a President’s Lunch recognising the ladies who hold office in this Year.   Heather held a raffle at this lunch to raise funds for her charity “Hearing dogs for the Deaf”.  She is a member of our club and in February organised one of our regular Lunchtime Concerts which attract some 100 local residents. This time we had a local singer and entertainer Kyle (see photo) who got feet tapping and voices raised before having lunch of rolls cakes and coffee.   Three of our members will be supporting Heather at the Annual Conference in Harrogate.
