D8 Ely Presidents Evening!

D8 Ely Presidents Evening!

This evening is arranged for friendship, food and fun. The fun was certainly
provided by president Rosemary Marshall‘s son Chris Casserly ( his stage
name). He told us about his acting career and spending every December for
over 20 years as a well-known Pantomime Dame. Chris started by performing
a song in pantomime character and costume and telling numerous jokes which
got us all laughing. He then explained how he got into pantomime from his
career as a straight actor. He brought along a fantastic range of costumes and
accessories for members to see and handle. Two of the costumes had been
made by Mum Rosemary( President). His brother Andrew and son Jacob
modelled Rosemary‘s costumes as seen in the photos. This was then followed
by a wonderful self catered supper. All in all a very enjoyable President’s
Evening.
