D5 Tour of Ronald McDonald House in Manchester

D5 Tour of Ronald McDonald House in Manchester

Members of IW District 5 have been visiting the Ronald McDonald House this week. The house is ajacent to the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. On Thursday morning 15 members of various IW clubs in D5 were shown around the house by Natasha, the Community Fundraising Manager.

First we saw the recreation and lounge areas that families can use and then Natasha took us upstairs to see the 5 individual kitchen areas that families have the use of to do their own cooking. Families are also able to use the laundry facilities on site. All free of charge.

We were also shown one of the bedrooms that a family will have exclusive access to during their stay.

Finally, Natasha spoke to us about the challenges of fundraising to provide all of these facilities and gave some examples of how we can help.

This plant sale, details below, is one way that members of District 5 are supporting this important charity.
