IW Hazel Grove President Helen

Helen is delighted to serve as the new President of Hazel Grove Club. She has only been a member for three years, but has learned so much and experienced the warmth, and  friendship of our members. She and her family have been involved with Rotary, Inner Wheel, and charitable work for many years. Helping others and giving back to the community have been of major importance to them. Helen has delivered Meals on Wheels for the WRVS, been a member of The Arts Society, served on the Independent Monitoring Board at Styal Women’s Prison, and now works as a volunteer in Centrepoint cafe in Bramhall. Helen, a retired teacher, became a fully time carer for her husband who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. She was also looking after her elderly mother. Following the loss of her husband and mother, Helen joined Inner Wheel. From that moment she was welcomed with friendship, encouragement, and a shared commitment to service. Helen is looking forward to working alongside members, supporting our charities, strengthening and building on the traditions of our club. Together, she hopes we will continue to make a positive difference in the community.
