D5 Hazel Grove Supporting Rotary Shoebox Scheme

D5 Hazel Grove Supporting Rotary Shoebox Scheme

Our members have, over a period of weeks, been collecting items suitable for Rotary Shoeboxes. The boxes, when filled, are delivered to a central warehouse, and sent to disadvantaged children and adults in Eastern Europe.
The boxes have an initial cost of £2-50 each and guidance is given as to the suitability of contents. No food, drink, sweets or chocolate are to be included.
The ages of the children are written on the box , and boy, girl or family group are selected.
14 boxes were delivered by Julie Johnson wearing her Inner Wheel logo sweatshirt, to a distribution warehouse in Oldham, Lancashire.
