D5 – Hazel Grove Christmas Shopping Morning

D5 – Hazel Grove Christmas Shopping Morning

After weeks of planning, the day finally arrived as we welcomed guests and visitors to our special event at St Peter’s Catholic Church in Hazel Grove.

There were many stallholders selling gifts and crafts, good as new, bottle stall, face painting, and games for children, a cake stall, and homemade Christmas Puddings.

One of the highlights was when the Mayor and Mayoress of Stockport arrived, they chatted to visitors then called out the raffle numbers.

The event was very enjoyable, and raised over £1,000 a substantial amount, for Mary’s Meals and Wellspring charities.

President Moyra’s ‘Orange the World’ stall was very eye-catching. Moyra spent weeks collecting suitable items to display, to support the United Nations’ UNiTE to End Violence against Women campaign.
