On Saturday May 31st the sun shone and large numbers of people came to the annual Rotary Club of Buxton Charity Bazaar. We always have a stall at this event and this year we decided to sell books because who doesn’t love a good read?
We decided to support our local hospice Blythe House Hospice. The Rotarians asked stall holders to decorate their stalls to recognise 50 years of Bill Weston and the Billerettes in Buxton. Bill and his troupe have raised large sums of money for charity over the years and have entertained generations of local peoplke and visitors to the town. their uniforms are orange and white so we decorated our stall with orange and white bunting. Our incoming president, Mary Worth welcomed the Mayor of the High Peak, Dom Elliott-Starkey to our stall.
