D24 Harwich & Dovercourt Hats for Ukraine

Harwich & Dovercourt club have enlisted the help of knitters to make children’s hats for winter to send to Ukraine. The local newspaper ran an article, and the response was really good. They have one knitter in Colchester, Dominic Lee, who has already made 240 hats, these have been picked up and are ready for delivery. Dominic has spina bifida and he has been making the hats on a handheld device.

There are also local knitters who are dropping off hats at the clubs meeting place. District 24 have given a donation to the spina bifida charity in Dominic’s name. The next van will be ready to go in October
