D22 Quiz 2025

Set by DC Lyn with her Bolsover Club it was fiendish but no impossible. Sixteen teams took part. All passed the first challenge a team name with a twist based on TV or Film. Bolsover Lyn’s home club, came along as” Sister Act.” They were the runners doing all the jobs that needed to be done – collecting the answer sheets, delivering to the scorers, looking after the raffle, keeping the tea and coffee flowing etc. Fancy Dress was encouraged but not compulsory.
Sixteen teams of four accepted the challenge. With names ranging from Alfreton Singing in the Rain, Heanor Calendar girls, Kirkby’s 50 Shades of Grey through to All quiet on the Wollaton Front.
Runners up were – Warsop, On the Warsop Front.
And {Drum Roll} The Winners – “Sutton Up Stairs” looking very glamourous in their “Up Stairs dress.”
Truly, we were all winners spending an evening with our friends, having something to challenge us, with much laughter and of course food, various picnic treats arrived. Plus, the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire Young Carer’s who will receive the funds from the raffle in due course.
