D22 District Meeting 2nd November 2024

D22 District Meeting 2nd November 2024.  District Chairman Lyn is looking to do things a little differently where she can and arranged for a speaker at the District Meeting.  The business was completed efficiently and then Lyn introduce Trish Greenwood, whom she had met at D4 Rally.  Trish spoke about her experience of living with deafness.  Her hearing gradually worsened in her twenties and by the age of 50 she was deaf.  Her aim is to raise awareness and gave us some insights into the difficulties that deaf people face.  Her presentation was humorous, poignant and informative.  She concluded “No one can ever imagine what it is like being deaf.  It is a truly invisible disability.  Be supportive and inclusive in everything you do”
