On 29th May 2026 District 1 held their annual Rally at The Park Hotel Montrose. On a glorious day members travelled from the far north in Inverness to the south from Stirling, East from Ellon and Aberdeen. An early start for many but well worth the effort to meet up with friends face to face. Association President Pam Boyes introduced herself to all the groups of ladies enjoying coffee on arrival. In the photo above the D1 Executive Committee are photographed with Pam and from left Nanette Thomson (1st V-C), Margaret Darling (D1 ISO), Trish Douglas (IIW Past Chairman and 2nd V-C), Lynda Taylor (District 1 Chairman), Pam Boyes (Association President), Jane Benson (D1 Secretary), Susan Oliphant (D1Treasurer and President Forfar), Jean Hale (D1 M&D). A Rally Committee arranged a lovely 2-course lunch with wine provided by Lynda. Pam gave an address to members including her educational career and enjoyment of Inner Wheel for fun, friendship and personal service including her charity Ronald McDonald houses. The Table arrangements were raffled at the end of the lunch in aid of DC Lynda's charity Maggies.
