EAST MEETS WEST  2025

Garstang and Over Wyre Inner Wheel Club in District 19 GB&I recently received an invitation to meet up with Prema Balachandran, a member of the Inner Wheel Club of Mulund, District 314, India.   Prema was thrilled to discover there was a nearby Inner Wheel Club.

Several members of Garstang and Over Wyre Club arranged to meet Prema to exchange gifts and a flag from Prema’s club over tea and Prema’s daughter was also able to join us along with District 19 Chairman Jan Winnard.

We had lots to chat about as DC Jan had brought along a Mexican student who was staying with her and Prema’s daughter had recently returned from Mexico. Both these youngsters were amazed at what Inner Wheel achieves.

One topic we all agreed which was of great importance, the upcoming Orange the World campaign.

Prema said that our meeting had been the highlight of her visit to the UK, and we all agreed this was Inner Wheel at its very best – Mulund’s Club now hopes to forge new bonds whilst creating everlasting friendships with Garstang and Over Wyre Inner Wheel Club.
