D19 – Gain support from the Brewery

District Chairman of District 19, Jan Winnard, has chosen Papyrus (Prevention of Suicide in the Young - up to the age of 34) as her charity for the year. Jan was thrilled to see Jennings Brewery of Cockermouth was launching a beer of the month named "Three Dads Walking" (who have been on national television) with a percentage raised being donated to Papyrus. Andy Airey, one of the "Three Dads Walking", who sadly lost his daughter to suicide, and I sampled the beer together and chatted about the successful Schools initiative to add Mental Health topics to the curriculum. All donations from this beer will go to support the Hope Line which is a 24-hour manned phone line for those who need support.
