D18 Orange the World preparations

District 18 are preparing for the Orange the World Campaign, as shown by Member of Council Muriel explaining the forthcoming events.

The Orange the World campaign is a UN initiative, one that members of Inner Wheel across the globe are taking up. It runs from 25th November until 10th December and is to raise awareness to stop violence against women and girls, create a safer world for them to live in, without fear or abuse.

Secretary of the Inner Wheel club of Wallasey, Carole Elkerton followed Muriel’s lead on fashion when cascading the information to her own club. After some nifty trimming of the wig she was all set to go. The beautiful orange poppies are also the handywork of Carole.
