The Inner Wheel Club of Newport recently celebrated their 95th Anniversary with a Lunch at Tredegar Park Golf Club, Rogerstone, Newport.

The Inner Wheel Club of Newport was the first Inner Wheel Club chartered in Wales, and is one of the 79ers, one of the original clubs that founded the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in Great Britain and Ireland.

Their first President Mrs Basil Adams went on to become the first District Chairman of District 15, 1938 – 1939.

They are great supporters of local, national and international causes.

Member of Council, Pauline Minshull read a letter of greetings from Association President Pam Boyes.

District Chairman, Sonia Stevens presented Club President, Barbara Davies, a certificate to mark the 95th Anniversary.

A raffle was held in aid of the Sparkle Appeal, a charity that supports children and young people with disabilities and developmental difficulties in South Wales, ensuring they have access to fun, specialist leisure activities,vital family support and a welcoming community.
