D14 Croydon Walking for Street Child

D14 Croydon Walking for Street Child

Croydon Club decided to do a bit of ‘walking on sunshine’ as a few members set off on a sponsored walk to raise funds for Street Child, the International Charity. The meeting point was Victoria station, and after a quick photo they then set off. Complete with Inner Wheel high visibility gilets, the plan was to walk to at least 20 Embassies/High Commissions and
take a memorable photo of their signs or flags. After experiencing a few, short showers they finally arrived at their 26th building – the Sierra Leone High Commission.
This location was chosen as, in 2008, Sierra Leone was the Street Child organisation’s first international network partner. It was a very satisfying event.
