D128 – Rushen & Western Mann start their campaign

Members of Rushen & Western Mann begin their Orange the World campaign in style.

President Janet Alcock and Club Correspondent Lesley Scott were interviewed on Manx radio.
There was an article on the Breakfast Show and then it was mentioned on the news throughout the day on the 25th Nov ember.
The full interview is a podcast on the Manx Radio website.

Members walked with orange hats and balloons and gave out leaflets.
They have managed to get several buildings lit up in orange and tried to promote awareness across the island.
An article was published in the National paper and they are hoping for a follow up later on when they use orange as the theme for their Christmas dinner.

They have started a JustGiving page for Victim Support IoM, under the IW banner, which is doing quite nicely and they have persuaded the Church Parish to donate £500 which will help to bring their total contribution to over £1,000.
