Members of Irlam 2000 and Worsley Inner Wheel clubs joined forces to support the Orange the World campaign
Their thinking being there’s strength in numbers!
After several planning meetings the agreed support took 3 practical routes:
- Firstly one of the Worsley members provided a contact for the town hall who helped us illuminate the project by lighting up Salford Civic Centre orange on the opening day of the campaign. Salford Council were only happy to help and members of both clubs headed down to Swinton on the first night of the campaign for an orange photo shoot!
- Toiletries were donated to both clubs and used to fill orange bags for ladies living at both Fort Alice in Bolton and also Salford Women’s Aid.
- A stall was set up at the Lowry Christmas Market, where leaflets and badges were distributed, helping to spread the word of the campaign.
All in all the ladies of both Worsley and Irlam made a real difference for the Orange the World initiative.
