D12 – Medical School Award Presentation

The Prize-giving ceremony for Kent & Medway Medical School was held on the 30th of September.

The awards were presented by D12 Past District Chairman, Pat Wakeham.

The School was founded in 2020 and D12 has presented an award of £500.00 annually to a student or students whose project is related to Women’s Health.

This year there were two award winners, Millie Meopham for her project on Exercise and Pregnancy and Naheen Joloosa for her project on Polycystic Ovaries and the effect on fertility.

They were both delighted to receive their awards and after the ceremony they spent time with PDC Pat, District Secretary Sheila Cragg and IW Member Sandra Wheeler talking about their projects. As a retired nurse Sandra was very interested to hear about their work.
