D10 Royal Forest of Dean Hamlin Fistula office in Birmingham receive knitted blankets

Royal Forest of Dean (RFOD) Inner Wheel were delighted to hear from one of their members Sue, who recently took 17 hand knitted blankets from RFOD Inner Wheel to the Hamlin Fistula office in Birmingham. The brightly coloured blankets were needed for the charity’s June collection week, and staff happily added them to others they have collected for onward transmission to the maternity hospital.

Hamlin Fistula is a dedicated global charity network founded by pioneering surgeons Dr. Reg and Catherine Hamlin. It is primarily focused on eradicating obstetric fistula, a devastating, preventable childbirth injury by providing free, life-saving reconstructive surgeries, maternal healthcare, and rehabilitation to marginalized women in Ethiopia.
