D10 Chipping Sodbury provide 100 books for schools

It’s taken us a while to get there, but Chipping Sodbury has now donated 100 books to mark the 100 years of Inner Wheel.  In all, 2 Nurseries and 8 schools have each received 10 books. It was suggested that books on a particular theme would be a good idea and Friendship was an obvious choice. The Cotswold Bookroom, in Wotton under Edge, was very helpful in choosing the books for the different schools and offered a generous discount.

7 different members delivered the books, involving those who lived near to or had a special association with schools. Several of our members are regular helpers in local schools where they listen to children read. The books were received with much appreciation.
