D1 Perth Club 80th Birthday

What a brilliant day we all had at the Royal George Hotel (Perth) at end of June to help Perth members celebrate their 80th Birthday. Outgoing President Diane and incoming President Norah shared the honours of chairing proceedings and after a delicious lunch & cake, Frances Carlaw, “The Pearl Lady” gave us a talk entitled “The Queen’s Pearls, Murder for Millions”. This was a romp through history of the most famous & expensive set of pearls the world has ever seen. There was also a retail opportunity to browse & purchase from her beautiful pearl jewellery stall! A fun afternoon with many friends before the summer break from formal meetings!
