On 30th October, the Dunfermline Club celebrated 80 years since their Charter in 1946. A special lunch was held at the Garvock House Hotel Dunfermline and 34 members attended from Dunfermline, Aberdeen, Auchterarder, Forfar, Montrose, Perth and Stirling. The photos show a wonderful day with delicious meal, great entertainment, and a fun quiz about the year of 1946. Many congratulations to President Margaret Farquhar, District Chairman Nanette Thomson, members of the lunch committee and speaker Lynda Colston on an emotional tribute to a local man from Fife called David Speed who made 200 violins but never played a note - he was featured in 1994 on Noel Edmonds Christmas Wish show and the Royal Scottish Orchestra surprised David with a recital using his wonderful violins.
