When a child is in hospital, being together matters. Treatment is often far from home, meaning parents, carers and siblings may need to leave behind their usual routines, support networks and sense of normality. 

What starts as an emergency trip can turn into weeks or even months away from home, with no clear idea of what lies ahead. 

At the moment families need stability most, home can feel suddenly out of reach. That is where we step in. 

Without our Houses, families are forced into lengthy commutes to and from hospital, or to sleep on hospital chairs, even in their cars.  Some wards have pull-down beds, but even with these, families are separated and there is nowhere to get a proper night’s sleep.
