About District 11
Our district includes Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, south east Dorset and Guernsey. Overall, we have 11 clubs and our members enjoy socialising regularly and using their varied abilities and skills in working together for the benefit of others in their local community and beyond.
District Chairman

District Chairman Jocelyn Dorey
Welcome
I am delighted to be District Chairman for the coming year.
I joined the Inner Wheel Club of Guernsey in October 2005 and I have been Treasurer (twice), Secretary, President (twice) and Club Correspondent. I joined the District Executive in 2021 and I have been Membership and Development Officer, Editor and International Service Organiser and I have enjoyed all of these roles.
I have found that the friendship element of being a member of Inner Wheel is so important, but contributing to the service aspects are even more rewarding, especially when working in the community alongside fellow members.
This coming year District 11 will be celebrating its 90th Charter and we look forward to welcoming Association President Pat Russell to join us for this very special occasion on Tuesday 23rd February 2027.
I would like to thank the members of the District Executive and all of the Club Officers within District 11 for their tireless work in keeping the friendship and service elements of Inner Wheel very much alive.
Finally, I wish all Districts and Clubs a successful year, filled with fun and friendship and service to our local communities and beyond.

Who we support

This year the District Chairmen’s chosen charity is Heartbeat, which I expect is well known and supported by many of you.
Heartbeat House, which is located across the road from the Cardiac Care Unit at Southampton Hospital, has 24 bedrooms and is available for relatives and friends of cardiac patients and guests stay for free in Heartbeat House.
There is a large kitchen offering all the facilities you would need and a laundry room. There is a lovely lounge area which looks out onto a restful garden area, where guests can relax and give each other mutual support.
Heartbeat House is staffed all year round to help anybody in their time of need, creating a reassurance for patients and their relatives that cannot be measured.

Mary’s Meals serves nutritious school meals to children living in some of the world’s poorest communities. The promise of a good meal attracts these hungry children into the classroom, giving them the energy to learn and hope for a better future.
