About District 22
Inner Wheel District 22 covers Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire and is one of the 28 Districts that make up the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in GB&I. There are 20 clubs in the District with around 500 members. Most clubs have a formal meeting each month to enjoy fun and friendship together with social and fundraising activities. District 22 is pleased to have 7 ‘Members at Large’. (These are Ladies whose club has closed, and they are unable to attend another club.)
All District 22 clubs are friendly and inviting, and you are welcome to visit them to see Inner Wheel at its best.
District Chairman

District Chairman Lynda Wallace
Welcome
Welcome to Inner Wheel District 22 ladies!
I am extremely honoured and very proud to be your District Chairman for the Inner Wheel year 2026-2027. This year, District 22 will be celebrating 55 years of friendship, FUN and service throughout our nineteen wonderful clubs.
My theme is BE POSITIVE, PRO-ACTIVE and PROUD of your membership, club and district! Listen to what your members want to do. They may have new ideas and fresh ways of organising events. Celebrate successes, cherish friendships and create joyful moments together. Laugh… because a happy club is a strong club!
I am looking forward to visiting your clubs and meeting your members. I thoroughly enjoyed my three years as the District International Service Committee Chairman (DISCC). I now feel very privileged to be representing you all as your District Chairman and will so to the best of my ability, I am happy to help and support you in any way I can. Just ask!
In friendship,
Lynda

Who we support
My two charities for the year are Endometriosis and the Alzheimer’s Society. I have chosen these charities because they have both affected my family.

https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/
Alzheimer’s disease is a physical illness which damages a person’s brain. This eventually causes dementia, affecting memory and thinking. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia.

https://www.endometriosis-uk.org/
Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the womb, such as on the ovaries, bowel, and bladder.
It affects 1 in 10 women and those assigned female at birth from puberty to menopause, although the impact may be felt for life. In the UK, that’s over 1.5 million from all races and ethnicities living with the condition.
International Charity

Mary’s Meals serves nutritious school meals to children living in some of the world’s poorest communities. The promise of a good meal attracts these hungry children into the classroom, giving them the energy to learn and hope for a better future.
