D15 International Rally

District 15 recently held a very successful International Rally at The Parkway Hotel & Spa, Cwmbran, hosted by the Inner Wheel Club of Pontllanfraith.

The Speaker was Luke Simon of School in a Bag, who gave an excellent presentation on the charity’s beginnings as The Piers Simon Appeal, and how it developed into the charity that it is now.

School in a Bag provides rucksacks filled with stationery, learning resources, eating utensils and a hygiene kit to disadvantaged children around the world. To date the charity has given out over 170,000 bags to children in 61 countries.

A school bag costs just £25 to fund and the donor will be able to track exactly where in the world their bag has gone using the unique number.
