D15 Donation to Men’s Shed

Member of Council Pauline Minshull recently presented a cheque for £150 to Men’s Shed Clydach to go towards their Ladies cabin, the money was raised during her year as President of the Inner Wheel Club of Briton Ferry.

Men’s Shed Clydach is based at The Old Blacksmiths, twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays the space becomes busy with people socialising and getting involved with crafts, woodworking and gardening.

Men’s Shed originated in Australia in the 1990’s and the model has been adopted successfully for use throughout the UK, the aim to provide a place where people from the community can come together and work on projects.
