D14 Farnborough Club’s Ever Popular Beetle Drive

Farnborough Club’s Beetle Drive to raise funds for International charities has become an annual event, much looked forward to by the friends and families who come along to enjoy an evening of fun and gentle rivalry. Once the games began, the evening went on with a chorus of frantic dice rattling in the shakers, cries of finally “Yes, I’ve got a 6”, pencils creating some innovative and interesting beetles, lots of laughter and eventually a shout of “Beetle” as a drawing was completed. The first six games were followed by a supper of lasagne, and cookies, then the final few games were played.
A raffle was also held during the evening with the proceeds going to Riding for the Disabled. A speaker from this charity had recently been to Farnborough Club to give an update on their work in the local area and it was a pleasure to have a few of their helpers joining in the fun.
