Barnstaple is 80! Filleigh Village Hall was beautifully ‘dressed’ by us and an amazing tea was laid out on the tables. Chatter everywhere! President Sue and our District 17 Chairman Louise welcomed us and cut our cake. (With modern technology the cake decorations were photos printed on the icing and included all Barnstaple Presidents with photos of those who are still members of our club.) Memorabilia was displayed, and we were entertained with poetry and music! A special afternoon, a real team effort, and with the raffle proceeds, a donation will be given to our local North Devon Hospice too.
