Banbury members were joined by partners and friends for a social and informative meeting when a cheque was presented by President Carole to her chosen charity Marie Curie. Area Community Fundraiser Lorna, collected a donation of £2,250, which will help provide specialist end of life care for those who are terminally ill, as well as support for their family members. Later in the evening, International Service Officer Annie handed a cheque for £590 to the charity ShelterBox. Members heard about the work of this charity in providing practical support and a sense of dignity to people in crisis as a result of natural disaster or conflict.
