D5 IW Marple and Goyt Valley Visit Local Dementia Group

On Friday the 7th November a few members had the privilege of attending a local Dementia Group in Marple.
Marple Dementia Group provides support for both people with dementia and their carers. It’s a safe place where initially they enjoy a lunch and have the opportunity of talking to others with dementia and carers being able to have support from the group. Activities are available for the group such as art music and  crafts
We were given a huge welcome then had the enormous pleasure of presenting a cheque to them.
To raise this donation we hosted an afternoon tea on Saturday 4th October.
