At our March District Meeting the District took the bold decision to send £5000 to buy aid and generally assist the thousands of people trapped in the Ukraine and trying to find refuge when the recent conflict escalated. This was done through our friend and Past International and Association President Phyllis Charter, whose son lives in Poland and through his contacts was able to buy goods out there and transport them into Ukraine. Phyllis has given us regular updates and has herself travelled out to Poland to see for herself the situation out there.
