About the club

Welcome to the Inner Wheel Club of Coventry

Thank you for visiting the District 6 Inner Wheel website and in particular, the Inner Wheel of Coventry page.  Although we lay claim to the prestigious honour of being the oldest Inner Wheel Club in District 6, having received our Charter in 1936, our members, 16 in total, are varying in age, interests and vitality. We try our best to follow through the ideals of promoting friendship, encouraging personal service and fostering international understanding: the foundation stones of Inner Wheel.

Members meet every month either in person or by zoom, for business followed by entertainment of some kind: a speaker, a demonstration or a quiz.  We have a Silver Ted (a small money box) which sits patiently on the top table during our luncheons waiting for members to share with him their good news and then to fill him with spare coppers from their purses: all for good causes. We have a group which visits the local Theatre to watch a Ballet, a Play or a Pantomime; we raise money through holding Coffee Mornings, raffles, donations and sponsored events of our choosing for Inner Wheel Charities and ones in the Community.  At present we have a monthly collection of tinned food which is given to local Food Banks. We also produce a newsletter most months. So, why not come along and see us, we will make you very welcome.
