Club News

At our International Club Meeting yesterday we welcomed Maureen and Penny from Benin Christian Support ,a local charity we have supported for many years. The photo shows our ISO Pat Holt handing over a donation to Maureen. We support this charity in many ways by sponsoring the children in an orphanage and helping with equipment for a local hospital and clinic.

Club President

Chris Bareham is our President for 2023-24.

Our members enjoyed a very festive Christmas Lunch at Clacton Golf Club. Our entertainment was a Christmas themed quiz compiled by President Chris and won by Pat Holt and 2 very professional games of bingo organised by Secretary Carol.

The following week we also got together for a Christmas Coffee Morning held at the home of member Paula. So a very sociable time.

Now we are looking forward to our Charter lunch later this month and a buffet lunch next week again at Paula’s house to celebrate World Inner Wheel Day.

Community Activity

Every year as part of our Community work we help out at the RNLI stall at Clacton Air Show.  This year it took place on August 24th and 25th.  The photo shows Prsident Chris Bareham and fellow Inner Wheel members Elaine Dye and Ann
Norman on duty on Thursday.  Some more groups of club members helped out on the second day of the Air Show.

The photographs above show President Chris Bareham inducting a new member, Joy Clinton, into the club.  The Immediate Past President Carol Ninnim presenting a cheque to Monica from The Macular Society and another of Carol presenting a cheque to Liz from Sailship, her other charity for her year in office.
