D14 Camberley President ‘s Banner Exchange

Giuseppa D’Aguanno in Agostinelli, known as Pina, is the President of the Inner Wheel Club of Camberley.
When on holiday with cousins and friends in her hometown of Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, Italy, Pina took a Camberley Inner Wheel Banner as her cousin had told her that an Inner Wheel Club had opened there. It was a surprise to find that her cousin was the Club Vice President. Pina met with 4 Members of Castellammare del Golfo Inner Wheel Club one evening at the Marina where they exchanged the Banners of their respective Clubs while enjoying aperitives at a Restaurant/Bar above a building that had previously belonged to her Grandfather, and still has his initials on the grate above the door.

Pina was only 8 years old when her parents decided to emigrate to South Africa, where later she joined the Inner Wheel Club of Durbanville and was their Treasurer and International Service Organiser for many years. Pina had just take over as District Treasurer before moving to the UK, where she became a member of the Camberley Club.

As a grownup Pina visited Sicily every 2 years, although with the Covid Pandemic it had been longer since her last visit. This visit, remembering places, seeing relatives and friends, was extra special, being President of Camberley Inner Wheel Club and able to exchange Club Banners with her hometown Inner Wheel Club.
